Most of the doors we work on sit in houses built between 1953 and 2005, with the median build year landing around 1973. That matters because a call to a house in North Central or Royal Poinciana, both within a couple miles of the shop, usually means original or first-replacement hardware from that era - steel that's had fifty-plus years to work its fasteners loose and springs that were never rated for today's insulated panels. In Park East and Emerald Hills, closer to the coast side, we see the same age band but with more corrosion on tracks and hinges. A service call here starts with figuring out which decade's hardware we're actually dealing with, because a 1970s torsion setup doesn't take the same parts as anything installed after 2000.
